Harmonized CPI

A consumer price index used in the EU to compare the CPI of its members and to analyze the degree of convergence towards the inclusion of that country in the euro area. The basket of products used is common to all countries. With respect to the Spanish CPI, regulated education, healthcare, and subsidized medicines have been excluded, and criteria for insurance and car sales have been modified.
